SCENE ON MAIN

spooky halloweenJust checked out Main Street; it’s like Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory but BETTER!  Instead of one factory, there are multiple, with each “scene” and each “treat” outdoing the next.

My favorite Main Street scene, and this was a very tough decision, is The Aldrich Museum with it’s portrayal of tremendous rats invading the museum’s interior.  The house across from the fountain (the Haynes residence) is as amazing as always, I think it says something like “The Dead Tavern” (don’t quote me on that).  The house on New Street…were they playing a trick on us? We have to wait until tomorrow? What’s up with that?

Ah, to be a kid in Ridgefield on Halloween.  A few raindrops won’t keep them away. The night is spooktacular!  Gotta love this town.  Just think, tomorrow we can do it all over again, on New Street.

Now onto the candy.  My rule, if they’re not ringing by nine, the candy is mine.

Happy Halloween!  Please report here on your favorite Halloween event or scene.  Did you take any photos during your nightly travels? Send them here. Photos@ridgefieldctblog.com

Main Street Ridgefield needs acontest. I once saw a continuous loop of Young Frankenstein played on the side of a clapboard colonial – Ridgefield Main Street promises creativity on Halloween – let’s amp it up for Halloween 2010!
