With a vibrant and growing population, Jesse Lee United Methodist Church has faced a major problem in recent years: how to create more space for worship and community fellowship. Anyone who attended last evenings tree lighting on Main Street can tell you, it was one enchanted evening! The music of The Nightingales, an all female Capella group, captivated the large crowd lining both sides of Main Street. Ah, the beauty and splendor of a weekend enjoying the enchantment of downtown Ridgefield as it dazzles us with it’s spirited illumination and brings us back in time. Stroll the streets while listening to holiday classics and watching horse-drawn carriages take folks through town. In addition to the music and carriage rides, traditional favorites include the opening parade, ice sculpture events, photos with Santa, performances for children by Davey the Clown, and in-store raffles, holiday promotions and refreshments. It’s all too reminiscent of a Norman Rockwell masterpiece.
The 10 year anniversary event kicks off Friday, December 4 from 6 to 10 pm …
