Barbara Manners is Honored Today

At today’s 14th annual Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. ceremony, selectwoman Barbara Manners was the recipient of The Spirit of Dr. King Ridgefield Service Award.

Ms. Manners has been instrumental in preserving and improving life in our beloved Ridgefield.  She founded CHIRP (and how we have come to know and love those warm summer evenings in the park) and was instrumental in creating The Ridgefield Playhouse.

She is the current president of the Ridgefield Branch of the American Association of University Women, the corresponding secretary of the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra and chairwoman for the Holiday Trust Fund.

In addition to Ms. Manners appreciation and support of music and the arts, she is the owner of seven dogs.  Six of them she rescued.

Congratulations Barbara Manners and thank you for all that you do!
