As I was running errands yesterday, I stopped into Ridgefield’s Bella Home to get a few gifts for teachers, and noticed the entire store was ready for summer. This local shop was filled with bright, bold accessories for me, my home and patio; gifts for teachers, fathers, brides, babies, and even horse-lovers; and many lovely Ridgefield-themed items. In the midst of economic turmoil, Paul Gervais opens “Building Blocks Art Supplies and Gallery”.
“I was literally burnt out of the whole corporate life and it got to the point where it was almost like a depression,” explains entrepreneur Paul Gervais. What goes through you head when, during a spring cleaning purge, you happen to discover a gift card buried deep within your junk drawer? Has it lost the fight against its expiration date?
According to Attorney General, Richard Blumenthal, For consumers, who have lost millions of dollars every year because of these abusive restrictions, this new rule means all of that fine print, expiration dates, deadlines and fees is all no longer in effect.”
Even though the new law will be instituted on August 22, 2010, the above regulations apply to gift cards now.

Today, as I reached into my closet, I stood there, momentarily, puzzled. Should I go for my for my comfy cowboy boots, or the sheek, equally comfy, La Canadienne boots? Then I thought, Why haven’t I blogged about these boots yet?

So much is happening in town, it’s hard to keep track of. Here are some of the changes Ridgefield has seen in recent weeks (and some changes soon to come).
